Classroom Supply Lists 2016-2017



The following supplies to be pooled for community use:

Crayola markers (not smelly)
12- or 24-count Crayola colored pencils
24-count Crayola crayons
Last name A-L: Fiskars kid-sized scissors, tissues
Last name M-Z: band-aids (no characters/colors), Clorox wipes
Donations: duct tape and items for invention center

Backpack (no wheels, large enough to fit a coat inside, write your child’s name on it)
Water bottle (write your child’s name on it)
Lunchbox (if bringing cold lunch – write your child’s name on it as well as on any containers and lids)
Extra change of clothes in backpack (including shirt, pants, socks, underwear)
Pack a morning and afternoon snack in backpacks each day (label any containers and lids with your child’s name)


$20-30 which will be used to purchase community supplies

Every first grader should have a backpack labeled with name (no wheels) and a plastic or metal closing water bottle labeled with name.

1 package 12-count Crayola colored pencils
3-ring binder 1 1/2″ (any color)
3 2-pocket sturdy folders (1 red, 1 blue, 1 yellow)
2 fine-point Sharpies
Multi-colored pack of 3×3″ sticky notes
$5-7 to buy additional writing materials

Glue sticks (4-6 large)

1 package 24-count #2 Ticonderoga pencils (pre-sharpened if possible)

This list contains both classroom and individual supplies. Students will be expected to have their individual supplies with them daily and will bring them to each class. Teachers will collect classroom supplies for all students to use throughout the year.

Students will NOT need individual locks for their lockers, but your child might want to practice opening a combination lock before school starts.

Individual supplies:
3-ring binder (3″) with dividers or folders or accordion file with at least 8 pockets (accordion file required for 6th grade instead of binder, optional for 7th and 8th)
1 single-subject spiral notebook (college rule)
#2 pencils and pens, including 2 red pens, 2 black pens, and 2 blue pens
Hand pencil sharpener
Pencil/pen case to store personal materials
1 box of colored pencils
6th grade only: 1 black composition notebook (100 page)

Classroom supplies:
College-ruled lined notebook paper (last name A-H)
1 pair strong and sturdy (Fiskars) scissors (last name G-N)
2 rolls of Scotch tape with plastic dispensers (last name O-R)
1 roll masking tape (last name S-Z)
1 24-count package #2 pencils (Ticonderoga are the best)
1 box Kleenex tissue
1 canister sanitizing wipes (not baby wipes)
4 glue sticks
8-pack of washable markers
1 pack of 3×5″ index cards
